The Concept
The challenge for the project was to put together and cut down many hours of audio interviews and use the photos to take the narrative forward. The animation technique of 2.5D and false parallax was used to give movement to the photos. This involved layering photos and re-creating backgrounds in post to achieve a sense of camera dolly movement. Both German and English versions of the film were created. The project was funded by AMCHA Germany.
